This is How Ancient History Rumors Start…

It all starts with a simple plan for an herb garden or flower bed. ‘Why don’t we make some beds in the shape of cool concentric rings and see how beautiful the plants grow together?’

The work is done, the shape is formed and the beds are planted with care.

Then the work gets out of hand and starts to look something like this from space:

Communities are formed to maintain the upkeep and to create new planting formations in bigger and better patterns. Wars are fought to preserve the land and have ownership of these precious resources. Civilizations rise and fall based on their ability to maintain the now sacred beds. Then the keepers of the formation will mysteriously disappear, leaving no trace.

Eons from now, when people (or aliens) are flying over NJ and take out their microscopes, they will see the disturbed land and think…’hmmmm’.

In the meantime, we can’t wait to see what’s growing!

It has been quite hot here. The pigs have been wallowing all day, but their favorite activity is lounging in the shade.

It seems to me that maybe they should be lying a little farther apart: enough ‘mi casa es su casa’ business in the 90+ degree heat and 3,000% humidity.

But as long as they’re happy…
